SideWRK is a cheap invoicing app for tree service pros who work on the side.
Every customer, every property and every invoice in one place — plus what you actually made on each tree once costs come out.
SideWRK starts every tree service pro at these prices and does this math on every job you write up. Change any number.
What a Tree Service job looks like in SideWRK.
The tree service job as the app lays it out — your own cost sitting on it, and the estimate your customer approves from their phone.
Built for tree service side work — in one app
Branded estimates & invoices
Send clean, itemized estimates and numbered invoices with your business name, logo, and license number on them — text or email, straight from your phone. You look like a real shop because you are one.
Customers approve from their phone
Send a branded approval link. Your customer reviews the estimate, sees the photos, and taps Approve — logged with their name, the time, and the amount, with re-authorization if the job grows.
Real profit, not just revenue
Every material carries a private "your cost" the customer never sees — so the Money tab shows what you actually made on each job, not just what you charged.
Photos that document the work
Snap the before, the problem, and the finished job and text it to the customer — proof that gets jobs approved and a record of the work after you leave.
One flow, start to paid
Estimate → approve → invoice → paid, all on one job, all on your phone. Jobs flip to Paid automatically when the balance hits zero.
Permits, power lines & nests flagged
Protected-tree removals need a permit, power lines need a qualified crew, and active nests are federally protected. SideWRK flags each on the job and tracks your permit — the rules surfaced, never legal advice.

Send it
Text or email the estimate. The customer reviews the photos and taps Approve — authorization logged automatically.
Get paid
It becomes a numbered invoice with your details on it. Record payment, and your real profit lands in Money.
What should a tree service charge?
Tree work is priced per tree by size and risk, with stump grinding and haul-off as separate lines. Removals price in $350 units in SideWRK, and a typical takedown defaults to $900. Here's how it's priced, plus a free tree removal calculator to price it.
Per tree by size and risk
Each tree is priced by height, spread, and how dangerous the removal is — a small trim is a fraction of a large takedown near a house. SideWRK prices removals in $350 units — one for a small tree, three for a mid-size, five for a large one — and defaults a takedown to $900.
Stump grinding
Stumps are priced separately, usually by diameter or per stump, since it's a different machine and a different job. Stump grinding defaults to $200, the same as brush and limb haul, which is also billed on its own line rather than folded into the takedown.
Access, hazard, haul-off
Proximity to structures and power lines, tight access for equipment, and chipping or hauling the debris all drive the number. A storm cleanup call defaults to $500 and lot clearing to $1,400.
Tree removal calculator
Size up the tree, add the brush haul, and hand back a number that covers the risk.
The tree service rate behind SideWRK's estimating defaults is $350/tree unit, with 90% of a typical ticket paying for time rather than materials. Both numbers come from our 2026 Side-Work Rate Report, which publishes the same figures for all 42 trades.
