Per linear foot by material
Price runs per linear foot, and the material sets the range — chain-link is cheapest, with wood, cedar, vinyl, and ornamental iron each costing more. SideWRK's default is $35 a linear foot, and a new install opens the estimate at $3,200.
Gates and posts
Gates are priced individually, and corner, end, and gate posts (set in concrete) add cost beyond the run. A gate defaults to $400, and post replacement to $50 a post.
Tear-out, terrain, permits
Removing an old fence, sloped or rocky ground, deeper post holes, and permits all add to the per-foot price. Tear-out and haul defaults to $800, and a repair call to $450.
Staining & sealing
Stain or seal a fence — or a deck on the same trip — priced by the square foot. A protective coat is an easy add to a new build and a reason the customer calls you back in a couple years. Fence stain defaults to $5 a square foot, which is $900 across 180 square feet, and a deck on the same visit to $800.
