SideWRK is an invoicing app for tradespeople who work on the side.

Write the estimate on your phone, send the invoice when the job’s done, and see what you actually made after parts and time.

5 jobs a year. $19/mo when you need more. No card.

See SideWRK price a real job. Then go price yours.

Real screens, not a mockup. The job with your own cost sitting on it, and the estimate your customer taps to approve. Five jobs a year free, no card — run one of your own through it.

SideWRK works the way your trade works.

Pick your trade and the app changes with it — the words you use, the way you price, the things worth writing down. A mechanic gets VINs and parts. A lawn crew gets the route.

Each trade bills its real way — per cut, per service call, per square.

42 trades. Every one built out.

SideWRK currently covers 42 trades.

These aren't categories on a dropdown. Each one is its own build — its own words, its own way of pricing a job, its own paperwork. The app switches to whichever one you're standing in. Grab any name and see how it reads for that trade.

While you work

The bill is the easy part. The year is not.

Anybody can print an invoice. The money leaks somewhere else — the miles you forgot, the receipt that went through the wash, the extra work they swear they never okayed. SideWRK writes all three down while you're still standing on the job.

01

The miles you already drive

Every job has a spot for the odometer, so the driving gets logged by doing the work instead of by remembering it in April. Say you run 40 Saturdays, two stops a day, a 30-mile round trip. That's 2,400 miles the app already has when the year closes. The IRS reset the rate partway through 2026 — 72.5¢ then 76¢ a mile — so depending on when you drove them the summary lands somewhere between $1,740 and $1,824 — if you take the mileage rate instead of actual vehicle costs. Your preparer picks.

02

The costs you already pay

Parts and materials ride along on the job as your own cost, in a column the customer never sees. The rest goes in the Money tab: the amount, the vendor, and a photo of the supply-house receipt clipped to the row. Nine categories to drop it in — fuel, tools, insurance among them. And when a customer pays by card, the processor's cut is written down on its own, as a cost of that job, without you doing anything. Come December it's one printed summary plus a CSV, and QuickBooks gets its own file.

03

The proof you already have

They approved the estimate on their own phone, and typed their name to do it. SideWRK keeps the name, the date and the exact total they said yes to, sitting on the job where you can find it. So when it comes back six months later as “I never agreed to that”, you're not arguing from memory.

Some apps that move your money report what came in. None of them report what it cost you to earn it — and a form arriving, or not arriving, was never the thing that made a year of work real. Your own records are.

None of this is extra work. It's the same job you already did, written down as you did it.

SideWRK is $19 a month, or $190 for the year. Whether that's worth it against a year of your own records is arithmetic you can do yourself.

Frequently asked questions

What is SideWRK?

SideWRK is an all-in-one app for blue-collar side work. From your phone you manage customers, build estimates, send branded invoices, record payments, attach photos, and track your real profit on every job — whatever trade you run.

Which trades does SideWRK support?

42 trades are live today — mechanic, small engine, HVAC, electrician, plumber, roofing, concrete, masonry, painting, drywall, flooring, landscaping, tree service, fencing, handyman, heavy equipment, detailing, pressure washing, appliance repair, garage door, locksmith, pool service, house cleaning, carpet & upholstery cleaning, pest control, mobile pet grooming, and more. Each trade gets its own vocabulary, the right thing-you're-working-on to log, and the right pricing tools — all on the same estimate → approve → get-paid engine.

Can I run more than one trade?

Yes — that's the whole idea. Every trade is unlocked and you switch between them in a tap, sharing one customer list. Fix mowers in spring, plow in winter, wrench on cars, do handyman work year-round — one subscription, one app.

Can customers approve estimates from their phone?

Yes. You send a branded link; the customer reviews the estimate and photos and taps Approve. The approval is recorded with their name, the time, and the amount — and if you add work later, they're asked to authorize the new total.

Does it keep a paper trail on every job?

Yes. Your business name, logo, and license/permit number print on every estimate and invoice, alongside itemized labor and materials, the job details, photos, and a logged authorization record for every customer approval. It gives you the tools to document your work thoroughly — it doesn't determine or guarantee compliance with any law or regulation, and isn't legal advice.

How much does SideWRK cost?

SideWRK is $19/month for every trade, with the in-app switcher and no customer cap. You start on the free plan: five jobs a rolling year, no card, and no expiry, with everything on except the tax spreadsheets and video. Paying lifts every limit — $19 a month, or $190 a year.

Does it work with no service?

Yes, for the work in the field. Once you've opened the app with signal, it keeps your customers and jobs on the phone. In a basement or out past the last bar you can write a new job, add the work and photos, and mark it paid — it's saved on the device and syncs on its own the moment you're back in signal. Sending a customer their estimate and taking a card payment need a connection.

Do I need to install anything?

No. SideWRK runs in any modern phone or laptop browser — just open sidewrk.app and sign in. You can add it to your home screen for one-tap access.

Does it track my real profit?

Yes. Every part or material can carry a private "your cost" that the customer never sees, so the Money tab shows your true profit on each job — not just revenue.

Can I get my data out if I leave?

Yes. The Customers tab exports your customer list as a CSV or a .json backup that imports straight back in, any time, free. The Tax Wrap-Up's income, cost and expense CSVs come with the plan, so download those while it is active; the numbers stay on your screen either way. Cancel is in the app — Shop, Manage billing. If you delete your account, everything is held for 60 days; log back in inside that window, tap Restore, and it's all still there.
