Price the load, pass through the dump

Pricing by how full the truck gets is fast and easy for the customer to picture. Keep a single-item minimum so short hops still pay, watch heavy loads that eat your dump fee, and always pass through disposal on top instead of absorbing it.

Questions

How much should I charge for junk removal?
Junk hauling is priced by how much of your truck the load fills: a single-item minimum is often $75–$150, a quarter load around $150–$300, a half load $300–$450, and a full load $500–$800+. Dump/disposal fees are usually passed through on top.
Should I price by volume or by weight?
Most solo haulers price by volume (the fraction of the truck the job fills) because customers can picture it and it is fast to quote on-site. Watch for heavy loads like concrete or dirt, which can blow past your dump fee — add for those. This calculator prices by load size plus a disposal fee.
Do I pass through the dump fee?
Yes — landfill and transfer-station fees are a real cost that varies by load, so add them on top of your hauling price rather than eating them. This calculator lets you set the disposal fee per job.
Is this calculator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, there is no sign-up, and nothing is stored on any server.
