The walkthrough

Keep the customers. Drop the office.

Housecall Pro is an office suite — dispatch boards, employee GPS, call answering. If your whole operation is you, a truck, and a phone, you're funding software for a front desk you don't have. The move to SideWRK is mostly one file: your customer export. Here's how it goes.

Run both during the trial · Cancel the big bill when you're sure · Works on any phone

The move, step by step

1

Download your list

From the Housecall Pro web portal (it needs a computer, not the app): open Customers and export your list to CSV. That file is your business — it belongs to you.

2

Import into SideWRK

Customers → Import, drop the file. Names, mobile and home phones, emails, and service addresses come through; a customer with several numbers keeps the primary so tap-to-call rings the right phone.

3

Approve the preview

You see every row before it saves — editable, with duplicates flagged. Then set your logo, license, and service-call fee in Shop, and the next call runs through SideWRK.

What you stop paying for — and what you keep

Gone: the office stack

Dispatch boards, seat licenses, employee tracking, upsells to the next plan tier. A one-truck business doesn't dispatch itself to itself.

Kept: the daily engine

Estimate → approve → invoice → paid, from the driveway. Service-call fees that credit if the customer proceeds, optional add-ons they pick at approval, automatic email reminders on unpaid invoices.

Gained: your real number

Every part carries a private cost, so the Money tab shows what the job actually made you. Snap receipts and they file themselves for tax time.

Gained: financing that closes big tickets

On card checkouts from $50 to $30,000 your customer can pay over time with Affirm or Klarna — and you're still paid in full up front.

Straight answer on recurring plans

Recurring service schedules don't ride along in a customer export — that's true leaving any platform, and we won't pretend otherwise. In SideWRK you re-create them as maintenance plans: set the cadence on the customer once, and each cycle spawns the job pre-filled. For a solo route that's minutes of setup, and it's the last time you'll type it.

Messy export? Half your customers in a spreadsheet and half in a photo of a clipboard? Drop it all in — anything the clean importer can't read, the AI import reads into the same editable preview.

Pay for the truck, not the office.
